The Dhaka Water Knowledge Days 2019 (DWKD 2019) are over. We look back on a very successful event for sharing knowledge and building relationships between public, private, educational and research institutions towards implementation of Bangladesh Delta Plan 2100 (BDP 2100).

The DWKD 2019 participants were inspired by a 5-day programme of engaging presentations and training workshops on (1) Flood Risk Management; preparing for the future, (2) Ground- and surface water management; securing vulnerable water resources, (3) Morphology, erosion and sediment management; key to development, (4) Water quality and salinity; safeguarding water security and (5) Disaster Risk Reduction; inclusive and integrated approaches.

Organisation
The Dhaka Water Knowledge Days 2019 was jointly organized by the two projects Water Management Knowledge and Innovation Program & Joint Cooperation Program for Bangladesh. It was supported by Deltares, Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS), Wageningen University and Research (WUR) and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN). Our official media partner was RedOrange Media and Communications.
