Delft-FEWS is an open data handling platform developed as a flood forecasting and warning system. Essentially it is a sophisticated collection of modules designed for building a hydrological forecasting system customised to the specific requirements of an individual organisation. In this course the basics of Delft-FEWS will be taught. An example specifically prepared for the Dhaka Water Knowledge Days will be used. The example will include a wflow model. Wflow is the Deltares Open Source hydrological modelling platform. Wflow can be used for rainfall-runoff modelling on catchment scale. During the course examples of applications of Delft-FEWS from around the world to inspire the participants of the training will also be shown.
