The Youth Forum on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (YFDRI) aims to bring together students and young professionals in the Disaster Risk Reduction field to exchange knowledge on critical infrastructure and recognize the importance and potential of youth for meaningful engagement in the process of improving their resilience to disasters, through interactive sessions. Specific objectives of this youth forum are to:

  • Bring together young students and professionals from different backgrounds from the countries in South Asia;
  • Contribute to the vision for disaster resilient infrastructure in the context of South Asia;
  • Enhance young people's participation in disaster-resilient infrastructure;
  • Create a link among the young students and professionals to spread knowledge about disaster prevention, preparedness, response, and disaster resilience.
