Description

The day will start with presentation on “Climate Change: A tale of Fire and Ice” which will focus on the basics of climate change, fact checks, IPCC predictions of the near and future climate, the background of climate change and its impact, the available model and tools to predict climate change and how to utilize them, followed by a discussion. We then move forward to the next presentation: “Climate model downscaling techniques: Bangladesh Context”; after this, a small brainstorming session will take place where participants will make groups and consult about selective impacts of Climate change, in the context of Bangladesh, focusing on complex issues which have many driving forces and factors. Participants will then present their analysis and assessment in short presentations as a group. Finally, an expert view on climate change impact on Bangladesh and its resilience will be shared with everyone, ending with discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in a Q and A with the present experts.
